What I do
Hi, I'm Rio, a London-based live sound engineer and lighting technician. I work in live event production, such as music performances and festivals, corporate events and more, flying line arrays and rigging lighting fixtures; tuning and time aligning PA systems and working with LED walls. Additionally I work as a venue technician, operating lighting and VJing for DJs and bands performing.
Alongside this I am currently studying (BSc) Live Sound, Lighting and Performance Technology at the University of Hertfordshire.
What I've done
My journey started when I learned sound mixing for school concerts. Since then, I've worked on a number of music events and festivals, such as The Great Escape and Captial's Summertime Ball, and other high profile events and brand activations.

I've done sound for a variety of acts, including rock and metal bands, pop artists and singer-songwriters. I've also worked with horn and string sections. Some of the artists I've worked with include: The Belair Lip Bombs; Katja Macabre and Richard Carter.
Where I'm going
I am currently working on my lighting design portfolio, continually expanding my knowledge of different platforms and consoles. I am also designing motion graphics to accompany my light shows, seamlessly intergating lighting and video. ​
